Douglas Day Honours History
Above, actors read the proclamation on the steps of the Big House at the Fort Langley National Historic Site on Douglas Day. The Nov. 19 ceremony commemorated the 153rd anniversary of the signing of the proclamation that established the Crown Colony of British Columbia. Below, cadets from Aldergrove and Agassiz received a lesson in B.C.’s history when they visited the Fort Langley National Historic Site for the Douglas Day ceremony.
