New Toastmasters club starts up here

Aldergrove has a new Toastmasters club with the charter approval for Leaders Club Toastmasters, Club 2451110 as of June 13.

The new club meets Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room 7 of Seventh Day Advemntist Church, 26245 - 28 Ave., Aldergrove. The new club has about 20 members and welcomes more to join. There is also a club that meets Mondays at the high school library.

The new club invites locals to think, listen and speak more effectively in a “learn by doing” workshop in a no-pressure atmosphere. Toastmasters is a non-profit organization, originally founded in 1924, and now has more than 280,000 members in 13,500 clubs in 116 countries.
