The Aldergrove skating club has a record seven synchronized skating teams this season.

The club has the most teams in the lower mainland, with the age ranges from six years old to 60.

All seven teams performed at the Pacific Ice Gala Exhibition on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the South Surrey arena.  This event is held every year giving the teams an opportunity to introduce their programs before the competition season begins.

The Pacific ice group charge an entry fee of food for a food hamper that is given to the local food bank. Another successful year for this event.

The teams was also skating in their first competition on Dec. 10, also at the South Surrey arena. Then in January two of the teams will be travelling to Mississauga for the Winterfest competition, and at the end of January six teams will be competing at the Mountain Regionals in Burnaby, then West Coast Challenge in Delta. The Novice competitive team is hoping to qualify to go to Nationals again this year being held in Calgary.

We wish the following teams a great competitive season:

Beginner 1 Snowflakes

Elementary Snow Crystals

Juvenile Icicles

Pre-Novice Black Ice

Novice Ice Angels

Adult 2 Ice Spirits

Adult 3 Ice Silhouette
