Cadets remember ‘Battle of the Atlantic'

The parade remembered the sailors and airmen involved in the longest running battle of World War II

One hundred cadets from RCSCC Fraser (New Westminster), along with RCSCC Columbia (Aldergrove) and RCSCC Invincible (Maple Ridge) held a ceremonial parade in honour of the Battle of the Atlantic on Sunday, May 1 at Westminster Pier Park, New Westminster.

The parade remembered the sailors and airmen involved in the longest running battle of World War II. A roll call of lost ships, the last post and laying of flowers took place along with an inspection of the cadets on parade. The event lasted approximately one hour.

Royal Canadian Sea Cadets are youth ages 12-18 who are participating in a program that develops aspects of Canadian citizenship, leadership and physical fitness.
