On Thursday, October 12, pilots from Jazz Airlines will deliver the first shipment of Starfish Backpack groceries to North Otter Elementary School.

Thanks to a $3,150 donation from the Jazz Pilots for Kids, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Aldergrove, they have been able to provide 10 Starfish backpacks to help feed hungry kids on weekends in the coming school year.

North Otter Elementary is the fourth Aldergrove school to receive Starfish assistance for their students in need. The current schools involved are Parkside and Shortreed Elementary and Betty Gilbert Middle schools.

In addition, Fraser Valley Real Estate agent Anny Kosovic and Jason Lewis from Mortgage Wisdom raised over $650 towards Rotary Club of Aldergrove’s Starfish Pack program during their recent fundraiser at the Mazatlan Restaurant in Aldergrove.
