“Would you like a cupcake?” Ella Bean said, doing a little upselling at her Murrayville lemonade stand.

The six-year-old was running a lemonade stand at a neighbourhood garage sale to raise money for Children’s Hospital.

Dad Geremy, a professional carpenter, built the stand, while mom Lara made the lemonade and the cupcakes.

Lara said her daughter is by nature a generous person, but she thinks the social aspect of selling is the big appeal for Ella.

Ella’s lemonade stand was open for donations from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

She raised over $300, some of it from former Children’s Hospital patients who dropped by.
