Four dancers from Aldergrove's Studio One Dance Centre are off to Germany for the world dance championships.

The dancers include Zack Preece, 12, Salma Tran, 11, Sydney Abram, 14, and Amanda Solheim, 13.

They successfully auditioned and were chosen along with 20 other dancers to represent Canada in Germany this week.

These dancers, who train over 15 hours a week at studio one, were thrilled at the chance to represent Canada.

Tran will also be competing two solos in the competition, one in Modern and one Jazz solo choreographed by Studio One owner Michele Candy.

Preece will also be in competition in a Jazz solo as well as a Lyrical duo with Solheim, both choreographed by Studio One's Pam Williams.

All of the dancers are competing in ballet, modern and jazz large groups.

Solheim is also part of a small group competing in modern and ballet.
