West Fine Art Show has found a new home at a South Langley winery.

The seventh annual West Fine Art Show’s late summer edition will be held at the Glass House Estate Winery next month.

This art show and sale, which happens the weekend of Sept. 8 through 10, is once again a fundraiser for the Langley Hospice Society, explained Shannon Todd Booth.

Featuring seventeen artists in a three-day exhibition, this is one of B.C.’s “largest and most prestigious art shows,” creating what Todd Booth said is a destination art show with free admission that welcomes hundreds of attendees.

The West Fine Art Show annually supports hospice, with a focus on “remembering” in honour and in memory of loved ones who have died.

By “remembering” in this way the West Fine Art Show strives to raise awareness of the Langley Hospice Society and the important work the local organization does in the provision of palliative and bereavement care and support to the community it serves.

But the show also sees partial proceeds of all art sales going to hospice.

This art will offer “breathtaking interpretations of our Western Canada lifestyle, as well as the rare opportunity to meet and speak with each artist,” she noted.

Securing the 0 Avenue facility for this show is a real bonus, Todd Booth added. Last year’s show was at Thunderbird Show Park.

“We’re excited about the new location, and are grateful to our hosts, the DeJong Family, parents Arthur and Ingrid DeJong, and their daughter, Margit DeJong, who have generously donated the use of this fabulous new space for this year’s show and sale,” Todd Booth said.
