Cineplex is offering guests the chance to watch one of the greatest action blockbusters of all time back on the big screen – this time in 3D.
Tomorrow (Aug. 25), Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D will begin a weeklong run at Cineplex theatres across Canada, including their theatre in Langley, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of ‘Judgment Day’ in the film, which is Aug. 29, 1997.
A true pioneer in the field of 3D technology, Oscar-winning director James Cameron has adapted his hit 1991 classic to 3D, creating a whole new immersive experience for viewers. Terminator 2: Judgment Day has grossed over 500 million worldwide, and was the highest-grossing US film of the year in 1991.
Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and Edward Furlong, the film takes place nearly 10 years after Sarah Connor was targeted for termination by a cyborg from the future. Now her son, John, the future leader of the resistance, is the target for a newer, more deadly terminator. However, the human resistance has managed to send them an ally, a warrior from the future.
