A Saturday morning crash slowed traffic on 200 Street in Langley Township.

One person suffered neck and back injuries in a two-vehicle crash on 200 Street near 80 Avenue Saturday morning.

Langley RCMP said a Toyota RAV4 collided with a Dodge mini-van around 10:30 a.m. near 80 Avenue when the Toyota, northbound on 200 Street, passed through an intersection on a stale yellow light and hit the van while it was turning left.

The impact was enough to trigger the airbags in the van.

Police issued a ticket to the driver of the Toyota for failing to stop on a yellow light.

Traffic was backed up while police, fire and ambulance were at the scene.
