Langley RCMP’s serious crime section is investigating a motorcycle crash that closed 224 Street between 24 Avenue and 16 Ave. Wednesday night.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 9:15 p.m. on 224 Street.

It’s believed the driver, a 31-year-old female, failed to stop for speed enforcement being conducted along 16 Avenue and a short time later, crashed the motorcycle she was on. She was not being pursued by police at the time of the crash.

She was taken to hospital where she remains with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are in the very early stages of their investigation which may result in criminal charges against the driver of the motorcycle, said Langley RCMP.
