A reported stabbing in Otter on Tuesday afternoon has turned out to be minor.

According to a Tweet by Scan BC, ambulance responded to a call at 248 Street and 40 Avenue after a man, who was reportedly slicing bread, managed to miss and get a knife stuck in his stomach.

Langley RCMP Cpl. Craig van Herk could not confirm if that was the case, but he did say the incident was “self-inflicted” and “fairly minor.”

Air Ambulance was initially en route, however their services were not needed at the scene.
