Edwin Weatherly

Mr. Edwin Weather died at home in Thursday, February 9, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife Valerie Weatherly, his sister Clair Anne Johnman, his two sons Michael Weatherly and Samual Weatherly, his grandchildren Ivan, Scarlette, and Soren, and step-grandchild Dayton. As a young man Edwin started his career with CN Telecommunications, where he retired at the age of 54. In his younger years he worked hard, drove the coolest cars, and listened to the BEST music. He was an athlete, and played competitive baseball, competitive swimming, and boxing. To say he loved hockey was an understatement. He married our mother Valerie Weatherly and started a family in 1972, when he moved from his home in Boston Bar, BC, and eventually to our home in Aldergrove. He loved coaching sports, but his favorite thing to do was to take his boys fishing. As kids, and well into our adult lives he used to take us all over the mountains in Boston Bar, to creeks and fishing spots that nobody had seen in years, if ever at all, except for maybe my Dad and his father Denis Weatherly. In 1983 he hurt his back, and he lived in pain ever since. To us, he was the toughest man we ever knew. In his later years Edwin suffered from poor health but battled back to buy himself some more good times. Unfortunately that new time ended unexpectedly last Thursday. He was our Dad, Husband, Brother, Uncle, Brother-in-law, and Grandfather. He was proud of his family, and proud to be Canadian. He loved his family, and we loved him. He will be greatly missed by all.

~ RIP Dad, We Love You ~
