KOSIANCIC; Marjorie Hazel (nee Doerksen)

December 31, 1934 - June 6, 2016

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Marjorie Hazel Kosiancic. Marjorie is predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Thomas Frank Kosiancic who passed away on April 17, 2016. Marjorie is survived by her 5 children and spouses, Raazhan & Larry, Sharon & Norman, Rodney & Hilary, Janice & Gerry, Kevin & Linda, her 11 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren. Marjorie was born and lived in the Kootney's until 1964. She then moved to North Vancouver, where she raised her family with Tom on Beachview Drive until 1983. Once the children had all finished school Tom and Marjorie moved to a little piece of paradise in Bradner, BC. Marjorie was very active in the Girl Guide Organization for over 55 years in North Vancouver and the Abbotsford areas, where she was a Brownie Leader and a Trainer. As a Trainer, she passed on her love of Guiding to future generations of women. She took many girls to Camp Olave, Tsoona and other camps for over 30 years. She invented a story of an elf she called "Herself the Elf" that was lovingly told to hundreds of girls over the years at her Brownie Camps. She will be remembered by her family and friends for many extraordinary things including her exceptional love of baking. People traveled from far off locations to the little tea house in Deep Cove to enjoy her Scones and her Chocolate Cake, which were made famous. She was kind of heart and generous of spirit, loved and will be dearly missed. Goodbye Marj / Mom / Grandma and Great Grandma. Celebration of Life to be held on August 21st 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 at The Fort Langley Golf Course

9782 McKinnon Crescent, Fort Langley, BC.
