Nadia Anna Cooper (nee Omelaniec)


Anna, 77, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 23, 2017 in her home in Aldergrove, BC She is predeceased by her father Stephen, brother Nickolaus, sister Valentina, and husband Harold. Nadia is survived by her mother Vera, brother George (Wilhelmina), sons Harold (Karolyne) and Gary (Brenda), daughter Karen (Edward), her 6 grandchildren Deryk, Jessica, Steven, Heather, Jennifer, and Christine, step grandchildren Michael, and Matthew. Born on April 29, 1939 in Vancouver, BC. She was raised in Aldergrove, BC by Stephen and Vera Omelaniec attending school at Aldergrove Elementary and graduating at Langley Secondary School in 1957. She moved to Vancouver where she met and married Harold Cooper raising 2 sons, Harold and Gary, both of Aldergrove, BC and daughter, Karen Badger of Washington State. Moving back to Aldergrove in 1977 where she lived until her passing. Nadia was a homemaker, a janitorial business owner with her husband Harold and finally a land developer with her brother George. Nadia loved family and we were given the blessing of being allowed to share her final weeks with her at home surrounded by her friends and family either in person or over the phone. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to caregiver and friend Linda Domshy, and caregiver and cousin Lori Saunders, and Nurse Kelli from Fraser Health who helped both Nadia and her family through a troubled time. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on February 4, 2017 at Saints Joachim and Ann Church 2827 - 273rd Street, Aldergove, BC.
