Ronald Reinhold Kraushaar
April 27, 1935 - September 26, 2017
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ron at the age of 82.
Ron emigrated from Germany in 1953.
He was predeceased by his parents Adolf and Helene, brothers Heinrich and Daniel, and sister Lydia, and is survived by his two daughters Karen and Helene (Scott), his partner Ingrid, cousins in Germany, sister-in-law Jutta, and nieces and nephews.
Ron reveled in sharing his passions and was a lifetime advocate of the gym with muscles to prove it.
He was a skilled dance partner with equal talents for gardening and soccer. Ron completed a 4 year Provincial Government sponsored apprenticeship programme with General Motors, being awarded top apprentice honour student with highest marks in BC in 1959.
He was also a breeder of German Shepherd dogs, many with the VPD.
Ron loved his soccer, traveling the world, nature, food, his farm, and a good laugh. He spent his final years in unconditional love thanks to his adoring partner Ingrid... what more could a man ask for.
No funeral by request.
