BRENNER Verna Lorrain (Sauer) Brenner

Selfless and gentle to the end, Lorrie passed away peacefully at Valhaven Home in her 84th year. Lorrie had a full, happy life serving and loving God, church , and her family. She remained active in all until dementia and a series of strokes incapacitated her.
Many will remember Lorrie for her beaming smile and talent for creating delicious and beautifully decorated cakes.
Lorrie was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Jake in 1987 and grandson Jeffrey in 1974. She will be fondly missed by her mother Emma Sauer, Children Velma (Harry), Larry (Donna), Emily (Roy), Jeanette (Heinz), Don (Betty), Betty (Richard), Donna (Bruce), 14 grandchildren, 9 and counting great grandchildren.
Lorrie also leaves brothers Eric (Gwyneth), Melroy (Audrey), Lloyd (Janet), Ivan (Myrtle), Dennis (Karen) and sister Doris (Don).
Waiting to greet her were parents Frank and Emilie Sauer, sisters Evelyn (Roy), Frances (Bill), Mabel (Ron), brothers Milton (Erna), Clarence (Lois), and Clifford (Marion).
Graveside service to be held Tuesday April 15th 11:00 at Hazelwood Cemetery in Abbotsford. Luncheon to follow at the Crossroads Restaurant, Sumas Way. In the lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
