Bottle drive for 'Friendship Hockey'

The Aldergrove Friendship Hockey Teams will be in your neighborhood on Sunday, February 19, holding a bottle drive between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in efforts to raise funds to help them “host the World.”

Aldergrove is gearing up to host 15 teams from eight different countries here in Aldergrove for an international hockey tournament. The tournament will be held in March of 2013. This tournament is held around the world every second year and is designed to promote “cultural connections” amongst youth through the sport of hockey.

If you able to donate but are unable to be home on Feb. 19 please attach a note to your bottles and cans and leave them in front of your house and the hockey youths will gladly pick them up. In addition, donors can drop off their empties at the Fox & Hounds on Feb. 19 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
