Aldergrove Red Sox are Mosquito Champions
The final game of the spring season for Mosquito baseball was played on Saturday, June 23 at Aldergrove Athletic Park. The top two teams played a hard-fought six inning game for the Aldergrove Minor Baseball Mosquito House League Championship.
It featured the All Stars taking on the Red Sox. The game was a thrill ride for both the players and fans.
The two teams were tied after one inning, 3-3. In the next two innings the All Stars managed only three runs while the Red Sox capitalized on their bats by scoring seven runs.
The Red Sox defence kept the All Stars at bay with outstanding defensive plays from Dylan Neilson, Mitchell Charbonneau and Tyson Tombe.
The game ended with the final score of Red Sox 12 and the All Stars 8. Congratulations go out to all the players, parents and coaches on a very exciting and successful season here with Aldergrove Minor Baseball Association.
