The new season for the Aldergrove Minor Baseball club opened with a grand ceremony in the sun, Saturday morning at Aldergrove Athletic Park.

AMBA president Lyall Sharman and Township deputy mayor Bob Long shared their comments and thanks to the many volunteers who make the club work.

With a signed roster of 346 players — one more than last year — the AMBA boasts over 25 teams for ages four to 24. The club has had a junior men’s division for the past seven years, for the older players.
