Aldergrove Basketball Club’s Junior Boys fell to 2-3 on the season with a 47-48 loss to the Robert Bateman Senior Girls in action Sunday at Columbia Bible College.

ABC jumped out to a 10-2 in the opening five minutes before the Timberwolves starting shooting the lights out from all over the court.

Led by Jacob Kautzman’s 14 points and 10 rebounds and Michael Adam’s eight points, three rebounds, three steals and five blocks, the ABC team jumped out to a 23-17 halftime lead by playing physical basketball in the paint.

The second half saw the Timberwolves shoot the gym lights out. They hit numerous threes and were almost perfect from in the paint.

Even with U’Shaun Campbell’s 11 points, 14 rebounds, nine assists and seven steals, Bryan Tran’s six points and 13 rebounds and Jessiah Lomas’s six points, four rebounds and five assists the Timberwolves were too much in the second half, outscoring the ABC team 31-24.

The final minutes saw the Timberwolves hit two huge free throws with eight seconds remaining. Game ended with a ABC buzzer beater falling short as the final buzzer sounded.

ABC’s next game is Sunday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 a.m. versus Mission Secondary School in Abbotsford Basketball Association action at Columbia Bible College.
