Aldergrove Basketball Juniors take win

ABC wins 51-50 over Mission Secondary to improve to 3-3 on the season

Aldergrove Basketball Club won 51-50 against Mission Secondary in week #6 of Abbotsford Basketball Association super league action at Columbia Bible College.

The win improved the ABC Junior Boys record to 3-3 on the season.

Grade 10 forward Bryan Tran was named player of the game with 16 points, 15 rebounds and three steals.

The first half saw ABC dominate the defensive half of the court. Michael Adam’s (eight points, eight rebounds and six blocks), Jacob Kautzman’s (five points, eight rebounds and four steals) helped ABC lead 22-18 at half.

The second half saw the ABC offence heat up and both teams went back and forth until the final whistle.

U’Shaun Campbell’s first triple double of the season (11 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists and five blocks) and Konnor Bartnik’s (four points, two rebounds and steal) off the bench spark helped ABC keep pace with MSS in the second half.

Campbell sealed the victory making three free throws in the final 15 seconds to help ABC earn the 51-50 victory.

ABC Jr. Boys’ final regular game of the season is Sunday, Nov. 12 at 10:30 a.m. against the ABA Raptors at Columbia Bible College. Playoffs start Nov. 19 and run until Dec. 3.
