A basketball tournament this weekend will help raise funds for a scholarship named after former D.W. Poppy teacher and coach Greg Leino.
D.W. Poppy is hosting an alumni basketball tournament on Saturday and Sunday, with eight teams competing.
Each player is paying a $25 registration fee and fans are asked to pay $2 to attend. All of the money will go towards the scholarship, which was created after Leino retired in 2009 after 34 years at the school.
The tournament is being organized by some of his former players, including Brian Dougherty, Dustin Russell and Harp Bhinder.
