Aldergrove's James Rahe was a winner at the 2011 Maple Leaf Awards in support of youth and collegiate field lacrosse in British Columbia.The sold-out event acknowledged the 2010 BMS Scholar Athlete Award recipients and individual player award winners for the 2010 summer and fall rosters of the Burnaby Mountain Selects Elite Touring Teams that competed in California, Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon and Washington. Rahe, a member of Burnaby Mountain Selects Elite Touring Teams, plays midfield for the junior team. He was named to the 2010 Tournament All-Stars at Denver Team Camp in Denver, Colorado, as well as the 2010 Summer Junior Elite Offensive MVP, and the 2010 Fall Junior Elite Team MVP.Rahe is a student at W.J. Mouat Secondary in Abbotsford.
