The Aldergrove Kodiaks were eliminated from the PJHL junior B hockey playoffs Wednesday night at Aldergrove Arena, after suffering their fourth defeat at the hands of the Abbotsford Pilots.

The Kodiaks had won the previous two games but were faced with the challenge of winning two more to overturn the 3-2 lead held by the Pilots.

The Pilots took the lead Wednesday and never looked back as they took the 5-1 win. The sole scorer for the Kodiaks in this game was outstanding rookie, defenceman Davin Padgham, who notched an unassisted power play goal in the dying seconds of the second period.

It was the only power play goal out of five that Aldergrove took, while the Pilots took two out of five.

Shots on goal were tied at 34 each.

Kodiak Eric Callegari was third star of the game.
