The Alder Grove Heritage Society invites residents to stop by the Telephone Museum, located at 3190 271st Street in Aldergrove this December.
The museum will be open for visitors from 12 noon to 4 p.m. for the next two weekends: December 8-9, then again on December 15-16.
Also available for purchase are Volumes 1 and 2 of The Place Between, which are full of family, business and community stories from 1875 through 1970. Individual book prices are $30 each, or buy the set for $50. They would make a great Christmas gift for the history buff in your family.
A team of volunteers have been hard at work cleaning, rearranging and conducting a thorough inventory on the museum’s holdings, and some very interesting discoveries have been made along the way.
The society also welcomes new members and volunteers, so if you’re interested in learning more about the history of the Aldergrove area and the families who built a community, be sure to stop by and have a look around.
If you’re unable to visit the museum during our special hours, please call our office and an appointment can be made with one of our volunteers: 604-857-0555 (please leave a message).
