The Canadian Army Veterans are holding the seventh annual C.A.V. Memorial Ride for the Fallen on Saturday, June 10.

The Canadian Army Veterans Motorcycle Units (CAV) are made up of veterans and supporters that ride side by side, saluting the sacrifices from the past, present and future of the Canadian Armed Forces.

The C.A.V. are holding the seventh annual C.A.V. Memorial Ride for the Fallen on Saturday, June 10. The ride starts from Trev Deeley Motorcycles at 1875 Boundary Road in Vancouver. Registration starts at 10 p.m., ride leaves at 11 a.m. and travels up the Trans Canada Hwy. #1, enroute to the Derek Doubleday Park off Fraser Hwy. in Langley.

The CAV members will be holding a Memorial Service for the Fallen of the Canadian Armed Forces at the Afghanistan Memorial Monument inside the park at 12:30 p.m. There will be Silver Cross families in attendance for the Memorial Service.

“The CAV invites all residents of Langley and surrounding areas to come out and be a part of this special event as we pay our respects to the fallen and show our support to the Silver Cross Families whose loved ones paid the ultimate sacrifice in service of our country,” said Barry “Brutus” Drews, National Sgt. at Arms, Canadian Army Veterans Motorcycle Units.
