Celebration opens new Derby Reach Trail

On Saturday, July 23 join Metro Vancouver and the Township of Langley as they celebrate the opening of the Historic Fort Langley to Golden Ears Bridge Demonstration Project, which connects Derby Reach to 208 Street.

The new Derby Reach to 208 Street portion of the Trans Canada Trail will be officially opened with a free celebration on July 23.

Take in spectacular views of the Fraser River and experience more opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors as you explore a new portion of the Trans Canada Trail.

On Saturday, July 23 join Metro Vancouver and the Township of Langley as they celebrate the opening of the Historic Fort Langley to Golden Ears Bridge Demonstration Project, which connects Derby Reach to 208 Street.

From 1 to 3 p.m., residents are encouraged to put on their walking shoes or bring their bikes to Derby Reach Regional Park for a free, fun, outdoor family event. Visitors will have a chance to take a tour of the new 2.7 km trail, which features exhibits, stunning scenery, and newly opened parkland. A ceremony and ribbon cutting will be held at 1:30 p.m. Watch for event signs along Allard Crescent, east of 208 Street.
