Calling all young birders.

The Christmas bird count for kids takes place this Saturday, Dec. 2 at Campbell Valley Regional Park from 9 a.m. to noon.

Metro Vancouver Parks is hosting the bird count. Learn basic birding skills, use binoculars and a field guide to identify and report findings during this winter bird count. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required. Please phone 604-432-6359.

Every year, groups around B.C. do an annual Christmas bird count in the first week of the New Year and submit their numbers.
