Shortreed Elementary School held their annual Breakfast with Santa Friday.
Staff stayed late after school the night before to set up and came in bright and early Friday morning to cook for over 400 people in the school community.
Staff wore their “Ugly Christmas” sweaters and cooked and served pancakes and sausages while students and families listened to Christmas music and enjoyed a visit with the big man, himself.
Donations of cash and non-perishables were collected as well, so boxes of food and a few hundred dollars will be donated to the local food bank.
One of the school staff, Gail Macklin, is the main organizer behind this event and she has been doing this for a number of years.
