Classic cars gleam at Poppy Car Show

There were more than 700 car exhibitors who showed off their unique vehicles under a brilliant sunny sky to throngs of admirers.

Jim Quick and wife Greta of Aldergrove brought their lovingly restored 1961 Ford Falcon Ranchero to the annual D.W. Poppy school car show on Sunday.

The Quicks put $7,000 into rebuilding the old classic which they picked up for under $3,000 from an Abbotsford farmer.

There were more than 700 car exhibitors who showed off their unique vehicles under a brilliant sunny sky to throngs of admirers.

The annual event raises funds for the high school’s “dry grad.”
