Jack Hamilton, 10, scoops up one of his favourite blackberry treats at the Blackberry Bake-off, the annual event hosted by the Township of Langley's Demonstration Garden, Tuesday, Aug. 21.
The demonstration garden is located in the Derek Doubleday Arboretum in the 21200-block of Fraser Highway.
Winners of the Blackberry Bake-off were: Judges’ choice: 1st. TJ Kuipers – Blackberry Marshmallow Squares, 2nd. Julia Swanson – Blackberry Macaroons, 3rd. Lisa Dreves – Blackberry Jam Kolaches; Peoples’ choice: Julia Swanson – Blackberry Macaroons.
