Members use the specialty diamond-grit cutting and polishing machines at the workshop practically every weekend, as well as meet at the OAP Hall on the second Friday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

Karen Soper of Aldergrove is currently the club's president, and Murray is the retiring president of the B.C. Lapidary Society, which boasts 1,600 members and 32 clubs across the province.

The Fraser Valley Rock and Gem Club will host a display and demonstrations of their skills and artistry at the Aldergrove Fair Days in July.
