Over 50 vendors in attendance this Saturday at LSRS Craft Fair.

On Saturday, Nov. 25, the Langley Senior Resources Society (LSRS) will host its annual Holiday Craft Fair, with over 50 vendors selling their wares throughout the Langley Seniors Recreation and Resources Centre. In addition to the wide variety of jewellery, clothing, chocolate, and holiday ornaments, two special visitors are also expected: Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus!

“We’re very fortunate they were both able to find time in their busy schedules,” says LSRS recreation director Sandy Lucas, “Being seniors themselves, it was important to them to show their support for the society by making an appearance. They also mentioned wanting to take advantage of some of the great bargains to be had at the Craft Fair.”

No official photographer will be in attendance; shoppers are encouraged to bring their own cameras or camera phones for photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus by donation.

The LSRS Craft Fair will also be holding a 50/50 draw, and a raffle for over 40 items donated by crafters. Proceeds from these draws and from table rentals pay for seniors’ programs, with craft sales supporting community artisans and crafters.

The LSRS Craft Fair is on Saturday, Nov. 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Langley Seniors Recreation and Resources Centre, 20605 51B Avenue. Admission is free.
