One of 300 vintage and antique cars on display at the annual car show hosted by Otter Co-op on Sunday, April 26, this 1929 Ford Model A owned by Kenny Berg has a story behind the “Creature’s Crate” name (in tribute to the 1954 movie, Creature from the Black Lagoon).

The original car was found in a farmer’s field in Saskatoon with a tree growing through its roof, and began new life as a street hot rod in year 2000.

It was its original steel body but just about everything else has been modified, including a 2.5 inch chop to the roof.
