New House of Hope facility officially opens Saturday

The facility offers help for women seeking to leave lives of addiction.

Wagner Hills Ministries will officially open the new Stevenson House facility at its House of Hope on Saturday.

Campbell Valley House of Hope is located at 460 216 Street, Langley, on the former Chrisholm property. The property is owned by the province, which has executed a long-term lease with Wagner Hills, which has operated a facility for men on its own property on 264 Street north of Aldergrove for many years.

Campbell Valley House of Hope is a Christian healing community that offers residential care and counseling for women in need of healing from brokenness and addictive life styles. It is a licensed 14-bed facility with room for expansion.

House of Hope is the women’s campus of Wagner Hills Farm Society. The structure and vision of the House of Hope is similar to that as the men’s campus.

Both campuses involve residents taking part in counselling, meetings and lots of outdoor farm work, in a setting that is removed from urban areas.

Saturday’s opening will be part of a variety of activities at the House of Hope, from 1 to 6 p.m. Wagner Hills Ministries will hold its annual meeting, and there will be an open house and tours of the facilities. There will also be guest speakers, testimonies, a petting zoo, kids’ activities and a barbecue.

At the AGM, the official ribbon cutting and dedication of the brand-new Stevenson House will take place.

The new facility is approximately 11,000 square feet, and will help facilitate the growth and expansion of the Campbell Valley House of Hope woman’s ministry. Many have helped in donating their time and finances to this specific project.

Staff and residents from both Wagner Hills campuses invite members of the community to come and see the new facilities and learn more about the work Wagner Hills is doing in help people struggling with addictions.
