Mark Stockbrocks’ old high school rugby buddies were among the hundreds who turned out for Sunday’s family fund-raiser at the Catholic Church in Aldergrove.

Mark, a 1997 ACSS graduate, was also on the boys’ rugby team which won the provincial high school championship that year.

Mark suffered a cerebral haemorrage while attending the Grey Cup game last fall and survived thanks to immediate intervention by health professionals, however, his left side remains paralyzed.

He is making progress at G.F. Strong rehabilitation centre but doctors say it will be a long road back to full recovery.

The fund-raiser will help pay for renovations to his Aldergrove home to make it wheelchair-accessible.
