Otter Co-op presented BC Children's Hospital with a $1,000 cheque Monday, the proceeds of a penny drive that gathered 400 pounds of the coins.
With the recent announcement of the elimination of the penny, Otter Co-op staff member Derek Hammer thought it would be great to start a penny drive and donate all money received to the BC Children’s Hospital.
The generosity of Otter Co-op customers, members and staff made this penny drive a great success, and Otter Co-op expresses a huge thank you to everyone that participated.
