Rivers Day on Sunday

Annual event takes place at Williams Park, 6595 238 Street.

The annual BC Rivers Day Festival is on Sunday, Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Williams Park, at 6595 238 Street.

This year’s free family event offers 25 interactive displays and activity booths including bird house building, ‘Creek Peek’ of juvenile salmon and aquatic bugs, streamside tree planting, puppets and much more. The festival will feature live performances by the Langley-based Dixieland jazz ensemble, the Genuine Jug Band, popular family entertainer Tony Prophet and a juggling comedy show performed by Eli’s Circus. People are invited to come and enjoy a free barbeque lunch, provided by the Salmon River Enhancement Society.
