On December 10 and 11 local Venturers, Rangers, Rovers and Link members from Nicomekl Area Scouts Canada and Fraser Skies Area Girl Guides of Canada hosted a Santa’s Breakfast at Camp Mclean in Langley.
Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Sparks, Brownies and their families, totaling 865 participants, attended.
This Santa’s Breakfast was a major undertaking by the 80 youth (aged 15 to 19) who organized, hosted, and executed this fun-filled holiday event.
Filled with the holiday spirit, 150 lbs. of non-perishable food was collected and then donated to the local community food banks.
The jolly man could be heard as he flew out of sight, "Merry Christmas to all and a job well done."
