Peter van Seters was one of four adults sitting on his Langley City sundeck one recent Sunday evening when a "visitor on silent wing" arrived. This owl perched on the sundeck rail, about 10 to 15 feet away, and "proceeded to study us while we reciprocated in similar fashion. It seemed totally unafraid, even if we spoke to it directly. Finally it flew off into the trees behind the deck where we spied it the next day, a few feet off of the walkway still looking at us." He has lived there 23 years and never seen an owl, although they have heard them call in the nearby woods.

Let’s see Langley Through Your Lens.
