Tutoring available for struggling learners in Langley

The Learning Disabilities Association is offering tutoring, and subsidies are available to families in need.

Despite the lack of summer school, there is affordable one to one summer tutoring offered in Langley, from  July 14 to Aug. 22.

It is designed for struggling learners ages six to 14 and is offered by the Learning Disabilities Association, Fraser South. It will be held at Christian Life Assembly, 21277-56 Ave., Langley.

Tutors can help children improve their skills with one to one support in literacy or math. Trained tutors work under guidance of an experienced, certified teacher. Some partial subsidies are available for families in need. Sessions are 90 minutes long and run between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Students can sign up anytime throughout the summer.

"We are here to help, not for profit," says the association.
