Colleen Richards was laughing as her dog Bradley, a four-year-old Havanese-Poodle cross, burrowed his nose deep in a "Boo bag" of edible goodies at the second annual Halloweener dog-friendly trick-or-treater event.
Bradley was wearing a pumpkin costume.
The energetic "Hava-Poo," as Richards referred to him, had leapt up on the picnic table where Richards was sitting to get at the bag.
"More treats, eh, Bradley?" Richards smiled.
Bradley was one of many dogs, some in costume, who turned out Saturday, Oct 12, at the Uplands off leash dog park near the George Preston rec centre.

There were giveaways at treat stations along the path, along with a photo station with Halloween decorations.
Pups were dressed up as everything from superheroes, to a ladybug, and even a skunk.
Cars filled the parking lot and overflowed on to the street.
Brookswood resident Ric LaFollette, the event organizer, reported attendance was up substantially.
"It was bit of a scramble," LaFollette commented, "but it was great.People were loving it and having a great time."
LaFollette told the Langley Advance Times the idea for the event came to him during a visit to the park.
"I'm a Halloween nut and I just kept thinking I want to do something for Halloween and everybody always does something for kids," LaFollette recalled.
"So I'm like, you know what? How about we do something for dogs? Everybody loves dogs and costumes, right? And so I figured we'll set up some trick-or-treats for dogs here at the dog park and it turned out to be a big hit."
LaFollette praised the volunteers and sponsors, thanking them for making the event possible.
