Aldergrove Neighbourhood Services will be offering three Parent and Child Mother Goose groups for parents, their babies and young children in the fall.

The community hosts a gigantic garage sale this Sunday at Aldergrove Secondary's parking lot.

A local teenager is one of B.C.’s newest pilots. On August 19, Gandouin was among 70 Air Cadets on parade to receive their Air Cadet pilot’s wings at the Regional Gliding School (Pacific) in Comox.

A Langley non-profit organization, The Food For Famine Society (FFF), is calling on Lower Mainland residents to join its efforts to help feed children in the Horn of Africa. The society is asking for cash donations to help purchase supplies of individual packets of Ready-To-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), which is used to help treat children under the age of five who are suffering from severe malnutrition.

A crop of vegetables and herbs has been planted in front of the Township of Langley Civic Facility building at 20338 – 65 Ave., to provide both decoration and education.

Expect to see more police on the streets at Cruise-In this year. That’s the message being sent by the Langley RCMP, in response to the outpour of street racing and burn outs that occurred on Cruise-In weekend in 2009.
