Aldergrove Financial Group has committed to donate $50,000 toward the Abbotsford Hospice Society. The funds will be used for the creation and development of a new family-oriented facility.

Thanksgiving food drive planned

Organizers of the B.C. Thanksgiving Food Drive hope to reverse that, giving hope not only for Thanksgiving Day but beyond. The food drive is a provincial initiative created to help feed thousands of families in B.C. who rely on food banks for their basic nutritional needs. Presented by various community groups, the local event in Langley runs the week of Sept. 11 to 17, when volunteers will deliver flyers with donation bags to select homes throughout the area.
