Artists host 25th annual show

The Fraser Valley Watercolour Society is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.

The Fraser Valley Watercolour Society is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year.

They invite residents to come out to help them celebrate as they host their annual Spring 2014 Art Show from Tuesday, May 20, until Friday, May 30, at the Clearbrook Library, 32320 George Ferguson Way, Abbotsford.

The show will feature a wide range of original new works by local artists. The show will be open to the public during library hours with the opening at 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 20. The artists will be present at an Artists’ Reception on Thursday, May 22, from 7 to 8 p.m.

Featured artists for this show are Pat Maertz, winner of Artists’ Choice Award 2013; Marilyn Vooys, winner of Award of Excellence 2013 and the winner of the People’s Choice Award 2013 is also Pat Maertz.

There will be a free draw on May 30, at 3 p.m. for an original painting. Please contact the Clearbrook Library at 604-859-7814 for library hours.

The Fraser Valley Watercolour Society is delighted to welcome new members to come join their membership. Members meet weekly.
