Mike Sanyshyn performs at the Coghlan Country Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 17.

It’s a sell-out for the Ceilidh at Coghlan Hall on Sunday, Nov. 26, but don’t fret. Tickets are now on sale for the Coghlan Country Christmas on Sunday, Dec. 17.

This event in Aldergrove’s historic old Coghlan community hall will feature the outstanding musicianship of Canadian fiddle and mandolin award winner Mike Sanyshyn, with his wife Tiana Lefebvre on vocals and Craig McGregor on guitar.

Mike is a third-generation fiddler following in the family tradition and inspired by watching Al Cherny perform on the Tommy Hunter Show. Mike and his family moved from Alberta to White Rock when Mike was 12 and here he expanded his musical horizons with classical violin education.

He’s gone on to perform with the biggest names in music, from Merle Haggard to Shania Twain, and he still finds the time to sit in with local old time fiddle groups.

Mike, Tiana and Craig will warm your day with wonderful christmas music and there will be warm treats served at Coghlan Hall for the guests — there is a limit of about 100 guests in the hall.

It happens Sunday, Dec. 17, 2-4 p.m. at Coghlan Hall. Tickets $10, reserve today by email: CountryChristmas@ee4.net or call Bob Long at 604-671-8948.
