Hats Off Productions pays tribute to a legendary comedy act this month, as the local troupe is staging The Knights of Monty Python, a production incorporating scenes filmed in Abbotsford with 17 live skits.

“It’s basically complete nonsense,” said Jessie Klotz, who started the theatre group last year with veteran actor Graham Steeksma. “The thing about Monty Python is that they were the first people to actually make fun of everybody, which we love. To get to play those characters is something we’ve always wanted to do.”

The Knights of Monty Python is considered mature humour. Performances run the last three Friday and Saturday evenings in February at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:45 p.m. Shows are at Straiton Hall, 4698 Upper Sumas Mountain Rd. Tickets are $20 and include pie, coffee and tea during intermission. There will also be a cash bar. For tickets or more information, call 604-755-3667.
