By popular demand Aldergrove’s Movie in the Park will be Lego Batman.
This free family event takes place Saturday, Aug. 19, 7 to 10:30 p.m. at Aldergrove Athletic Park.
The movie begins at dusk, around 8:45 p.m., but the evening will feature lots of family-friendly pre-movie activities starting at 7 p.m. Live entertainment features the local band Her Brothers, as well as a concession.
Movie-goers can bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on, and may bring a food and drink hamper. Please note that alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited at this event.
Aldergrove Athletic Park is located at 29 Avenue and 267B Street.
The Aldergrove Business Association, with partners Aldergrove Credit Union and Otter Co-op, present a Movie in the Park night in Aldergrove every August.
Over 200 people voted in this year’s poll to decide which movie to show. Here’s how the voting broke down: Lego Batman (49%, 107 votes), Princess Bride (28%, 61 votes), and Trolls (23%, 49 votes).
The random draw winners of fabulous prizes from Aldergrove Credit Union and Otter Co-op are: Eileen D., Adia L., Melinda P., Maureen S., Jamie B., and Lauren M. Winners will be contacted to pick up their prize.
