A new radio station is kicking off in Abbotsford with 10,000 songs a row, commercial free. SONiC is a top 40 station that launched locally on Wednesday.
The station reaches Abbotsford on 92.5, Chilliwack on 107.5 and Vancouver on 104.9.
It will feature international artists such as Katy Perry and local acts like Chilliwack’s These Kids Wear Crowns.
“SONiC speaks to a younger audience and represents a commitment to the next generation of listeners who will help grow the future of radio in our markets,” said Geoff Poulton, vice-president and general manager, Rogers Radio, B.C.
“There is a huge appetite for new music, and this format will better serve listeners in our communities.”
